Took a gamble as was looking for a different takeaway food and we were pleasantly surprised at quality and portion size .Excellent would recommend this place .The mucky fries are delicious and huge portion .Steak pie was brilliant too as was tempura .Will be ordering again

Popped in last night for food with 2 friends. We had the lasagne, cajun pasta and a cheese burger. Could tell the lasagne was homemade would definitely recommend it. Decent sized portions too so we all left very satisfied. Couldnt believe the price of the pink gin either...very cheap. Will definitely return... good food and friendly staff .

Best local pub in town and i really enjoy my pint of Strongbow Dark Fruit. I am only a stones throw away from my local pub which is easy for me. Great atmosphere and everyone and including the bar staff are so friendly. I would never go to any other pub and Abbey Gates means so much to me. A 5 star rating from me.

2nd time my family and I have ordered during this year long lockdown and the food and delivery are absolutely superb. We will be ordering again and we can't wait until things are back to normal to have a sit in meal. Thank you very much

I recently had my 40th Birthday here and had a fantastic night. The owner and staff were fab and helped make my night a great one. They were all friendly and helpful and done all they could to make sure my night went as planned. Would defo visit again for a meal, a drink or a night out with family and friends as their prices are all very reasonable. They provided a very good buffet with plenty of choice and also provided gluten free for me too. They also provided entertainment (karaoke/disco) which was great, everyone enjoyed it. Thank you very much to all the staff for everything they done to make my night as fantastic as it could be.

Had our daughter's 18th last night here. Brilliant music and atmosphere. Nothing was a problem to Amanda and her staff.
